H.E. Ambassador Prof. Fekadu Beyene received members of the Syarif Hidatullah Model United Nations (MUN) club at UIN Jakarta in his office. H.E. expressed his appreciation for the Club members and thanked them for taking the initiative for coming to visit the Ethiopian Embassy in Jakarta. They were informed about the historical back ground of Ethiopia- Indonesia bilateral relations, and the importance of strengthening diplomatic ties between the two great nations with focus on G2G, B2B, and public to public relations, to boost trade, investment, tourism, and student exchange. H.E briefed them about Ethiopia in general, and Ethiopia’s great potentials for investment and tourism, citing the existence of 11 UNESCO inscribed world heritage sites. He briefed them about principles and functions of diplomacy, and also conveyed gratitude for organizers of the tour as such practice would create tremendous opportunities for learning and sharing, in addition to connecting with people of different socio-cultural background. He also reminded them among others, the challenges and opportunities of youth in the contemporary world, and the importance of establishing and strengthening youth net-works, or youth to youth relations of the two countries for learning from each other, and forging lasting collaboration in creating global citizens in the ever-changing world.
